NetHitch is a friend-making and dating platform for the people modern apps tend to wear out. Here is who we are, what we believe and where we are right now.
What is NetHitch?
NetHitch is an upcoming platform for making friends and going on dates, built for Gen Z and open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Instead of another app that rewards speed, bold openers and endless swiping, we are building around comfort, honesty and fun, the things that lead to real connection. A friendship and a first date start the same way, with two people finding they enjoy each other, so we are giving both a home.
We are in our pre-launch phase. A working prototype exists, our core product decisions are made, and we are heading towards a public launch on iOS, Android and the web. Pre-registration is open right now and it is the best way to make sure you are not waiting in line when we go live.
Why we are building this
We did not want to build another app that optimises for volume over connection.
Most dating and social apps were designed around fast decisions, endless scrolling and confident opening lines. They quietly wear out everyone else. If you have ever frozen over the “perfect” first message, felt drained by small talk with strangers, or hit it off with someone only to be ghosted the next day, you already know the problem.
Gen Z is growing up more digital than any generation before it, and in many ways more thoughtful about how it wants to meet people. NetHitch is our answer: software built for how people actually want to connect, not how apps have always assumed they should. We are a small team building from India outward to a global audience, and we would love you to be part of it from the start.
The name
Why NetHitch?
A hitch is the spot where two things join. The net is where we all spend our time. Put them together and you get the place where people link up, whether that is two people on a first date or a whole group finding its feet.
It is one word, NetHitch, written NETHITCH or nethitch in our logo. People also type it as Net Hitch, Hitchnet or Netitch, and that is completely fine. However you spell it, you will find us at nethitch.com.
